ICLD 3.15 Deep Change and Positive Emotional Intelligence

Module Overview 

This module addresses the fact that change is one thing that an organization and leader can count on.  Leaders who wish to initiate change or respond to a need for change may have to go through a transformation themselves.  This transformation will allow them to become a true change agent by increasing their level of Emotional Intelligence and their Positive Intelligence Quotient (PQ).

Module Objectives

Upon successful completion of this module students should be able to:

  • Understand the concept of Deep Change.
  • Identify strategies that improve a leaders Positive Intelligence Quotient.
  • Counteract saboteurs to Deep Change strategies.

The Minnesota Sheriffs’ Association is a continuing education sponsor as approved by the Board of Peace Officer Standards and Training. This course, Deep Change and Positive Emotional Intelligence 09053-0472, has been approved by the POST Board for continuing education credit. Peace officers who successfully complete this course will receive two (2) hours of continuing education.

This course is approved for one (1) hour under the mandated category of Community and Cultural Diversity and Implicit Bias.  It covers learning objectives 2 and 3.
